STAT3 and pSTAT3 expressions were significantly associated with grade
of the tumor (P < 0.001). Malignant tumors were 107.3 times more likely to express STAT3 (OR = 107.3, 95% CI: 20.24-569), and 7.5 times more likely to express pSTAT3 (OR = 7.5, 95% CI: 2.28-24.5) when benign or intermediate tumor is the reference [Table 3]. The sensitivity and the specificity of STAT3 were 95.8% and 76.5% and pSTAT3 were 50% and 88.2%, respectively, with histopathological grade.
