Invasive tomato insect pest occurrence is better understood through evaluating the interplay of temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, and windspeed, leading to sustainable bio-invasion mitigation strategies. To ascertain climate trends from 1981 to 2020 and simultaneously document the pattern of new invasive pest introductions, we resorted to the Mann-Kendall trend test. Climate variables' influence on pest occurrences is examined through Pearson's correlation and the generalized linear model (GLM-quasi-Poisson) in the R statistical computing environment. The results signified a considerable rise in temperature and wind speed in Kampala and Namutumba by 0.049°C and 0.005 m/s⁻¹, and 0.037°C and 0.003 m/s⁻¹, respectively, over a year's period.
